I like to call this one "High Drama From Olden Times"

Franny Is HOT!
How lucky am I? Well, almost a month on set hanging out with Frances Sternhagen sums up the answer: very lucky!

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia....
Learned profound work ethic from being around this extremely talented woman.

Tiff & Frank
My first feature film job and this man made every day not only fun but a wonderful place to work and learn and feel valued.

Jeffrey DeMunn "Hat"

Between A Bill & A Buck!

Closer To My Hero
While it wasn't exactly a Barbara Walters interview, I certainly enjoyed playing spokesperson for all the fine folks at Turner Broadcasting.

Alton Brown & Miss. Ellie
An episode of Good Eats about Devils Food Cake and Blue Ribbons. Yes, Miss. Ellie's cake took home the prize.

Three Frames

1950's
Pearls and a pink sweater-set for the production of Maple & Vine at Actor's Express.

I Play A Doctor On TV
Here's an inside joke for those of you "in the know" about me.

Audiobooks & Scarves
It takes many layers to bring a book to life - many layers of warm clothing that is...

Just A Girl & Her Guitar!
This will be for my Easy Listening Album cover!

Pictures!
Headshots and Whatnots

"Janet the Housewife"

Chairs Make Me Angry!
Even though I'm sure I was being directed to "Think Danger" or "Be Sexy" it really just looks like this chair made me mad.

Blowing Smoke
I do recall that this photo was blown up and on the wall in "Janet's House" same as the faux Warhol pics...would've been fun to keep them.

Trailer Time Fun For Janet

It Takes A Team
The NOLA-based crew for this Lifetime M.O.W. was wonderful and gave "Janet" so many cool looks.

Me & Martha
This kick-ass woman (Martha Coolidge) is, to date, the only female President of the DGA and I was fortunate to have the chance to work with her.

B & T Martini
This was taken somewhere in the wee hours of the morning on the final shoot day of this job. One of the kindest souls and most giving professionals I have worked with. She knew I was green and nervous and she made me feel welcome and respected.

Trailer Time Fun!

Ouch! That's Gonna Leave A Mark
Oh sweet "Samantha Gibbons"! Just inviting vampires into her house and letting them treat her like an all-night-dinner-buffet.

Vampires & Diaries

Prepping for Work
It's more than just knowing my lines and hitting my mark, so I pre-game real good before every job!

Hard Day At The Office
When a job means working with this many talented and fun people it doesn't seem right to call it work.

Follow That Arrow (I mean Lantern)

"Prisoners" for the Wardrobe Win
No kidding...this was one of my costumes. For all the hustle & heartache it takes to get work in this business I gladly accept when pajamas are the way they go for my character's wardrobe. WINNING!

My Sweet Spot

Audiobook Magic
I have very few superstitions, but one is that whenever this Tigger cup is available at the studio, my audiobook session is a slam dunk!

In The Next Room, or The Vibrator Play
Don't let all the politeness, floral print and corsets fool you...

"After all...it is MY boat..."
"Melanie Baynor" was not such a fan of her husband's affairs, but she did like her diamonds and her boats!

Welcome to Nashville Y'all

Day One for most of us...
Here we all are close to the end of our first day shooting for the first season of Nashville. Definitely a little tired, but other than that, super happy to be surrounded by these fine folks.

Just A Girl & Her Chair

Telling Scarlett The Way It Is In The Biz
Jeanne is a no nonsense business woman, and as much as she likes Scarlet's writing, she has to remind her that it is a business as much as it is an art.

Popping the Bubbly
I may look happy here, but this is my face of fear. In this scene, I'm popping open some champagne & I'm just certain I'm going to blind a crew person or break a camera lens. Neither of those things happened.

Mom Face
Not all the news Jeanne delivers is good, sometimes she's gotta tell it like it is, and that's exactly what she's doing here.

Tiff & Sam
He may have "slept with my assistant" but he was a really good songwriter.

Jeanne or Jeanie?
Half of the episodes I am credited as Jeanne and the other half as Jeanie. Doesn't matter, as long as I do my J-O-B and the check clears the bank!

Crack Of Dawn Call Time Rewards
Sometimes it's just being wrapped before noon, other times its sweet drivers who bring you coffee when they pick you up and some mornings like this one, it's all of the above AND A RAINBOW!

80's Shoulder Pads & Wood Paneling
Oh! Sweet Jane! This character's wardrobe was all legit from the 1980's and hands-down, was one of my favorite fittings ever. We had a blast tromping through time and I ended up with some spectacular things to wear for each episode.

Hospital Waiting Rooms
Mama Kelly and her sons fiance await the news after the accident.

Trailer Time
This dress had shoulder pads AND pockets. Done. And. Done.

Mom Hugs
Maybe a few more "Mom Hugs" and this show would've been picked up for a couple more seasons?

It's called: Life-Work-Balance

Erin Just Can't Believe It!
Carol has no idea how to make cookies using mashed lima beans and cocoa. Watch out Walking Dead fans...things just got real here in Alexandria!

Why Look: It's An Alexandria Party Shirt

Well Past 2a.m.
You would think with how cold it was on set and that the hour was ticking into the very wee hours of the morning I would be making a different face in this picture. BUT! This is the face of someone who has just been told there is a gourmet hot chocolate bar being set up by Crafty.

Too, Too Helpful
I'm working on cultivating a less helpful and more crabby way of being. Why? You ask. Because (spoiler alert) being nice seems to get me killed - alot!

Reverse Angle
Whenever I watch a scene that I know took hours to shoot, yet is over within minutes, I can't help but flashback to the time shooting it and wishing with all my heart the audience could see the number of artists and craftspeople on the other side of this image...it would blow everyone away.

Mel & Tiff
Though the world of TWD fans witnessed this scene as "Carol & Erin" I have been friends with Melissa for almost twenty years and there is no one better to stab you in the head for a mercy kill than her.

Does Anyone Have A Tide Stain Stick?
Um, I probably should have titled this one "Spoiler Alert"

Check Out My Market
Yeah! I own a market. We sell fancy juices and stuff. It's all good, for now.....

Find It!

And People Ask Me About "Memorizing All Those Lines"!!

Listen To Your Mother

Before & After
I continue to be impressed with every artist I meet who helps me do my job the very best I can. This before and after involved A LOT of people and a serious nap after we wrapped.

Wonder Woman
For real, there is science behind this pose (not in this picture) that says standing like Wonder Woman - hands on hips feet rooted and grounded, standing tall and strong - will actually trigger those exact feelings. Copy that Lynda Carter!

Smiling & Dancing
The magic of lights, camera and fog machines means the audience would never know we were shooting this "dream sequence" at 3 am. Of course, if it's 3 am in real life I'm typically really dreaming.

Fanny Coleman Testimony
Having to testify at the trial of your daughters murderer....not exactly an easy thing to do.

On-Set Edit
I'm amazed at the ability to live-cut scenes just minutes after they're shot....technology!
My Front Door
Please hit your mark when you come to visit. Thanks!

Not Looking Good @ Fulton Fare

Total MOM Face!
I blame the corset....those things are stupidly uncomfortable.
